Register your charity
Four steps to your journey.
01
Choose your challenge
Pick something meaningful and difficult. Lose weight, run a distance, give up alcohol, learn something new. It just needs to be hard for you.
02
Choose your cause
Select from our partner charities or nominate any UK registered charity. This is what your challenge is for.
03
Tell your story
Write your one-sentence purpose. Share your page. The community backs you — through donations, support, and showing up every day.
04
Journal your journey
Post daily updates — the good days and the hard ones. Your community follows every step. Donors see their money working in real time.
The hard days matter
as much as the wins.
"I read the supporter wall on this page until my chest unclenched. You're the reason this didn't tip the other way today."

Terms & Conditions.

Please read these carefully before creating a journey or donating on GoDoItFor.

The Platform

GoDoItFor is a fundraising platform that enables individuals to take on personal accountability challenges and raise money for registered charities. By using this platform you agree to these terms.

GoDoItFor is operated by GoDoItFor Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We are not a charity, but we facilitate fundraising for registered charities.

GoDoItFor takes a small platform fee from donations to cover operating costs. This fee is clearly displayed before any donation is confirmed. The remainder goes directly to your chosen charity.

Challengers

To create a journey page on GoDoItFor, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Provide accurate information about your challenge and yourself
  • Choose a registered charity to receive funds
  • Agree that all funds raised will be donated to your chosen charity
  • Not make false or misleading claims about your progress

You are responsible for the content you post on your journey page. Content must not be offensive, harmful, or misleading. GoDoItFor reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these terms.

You may not withdraw or redirect donated funds for personal use under any circumstances. All funds raised are committed to the charity at the point of donation.

Donations

All donations made through GoDoItFor are final and non-refundable except in cases of fraud or platform error. By donating you confirm:

  • You are the authorised holder of the payment method used
  • The funds are being donated voluntarily for charitable purposes
  • You understand the platform fee structure before completing your donation

Donations are processed securely through our payment partner. GoDoItFor does not store card details. Gift Aid declarations can be made at the point of donation if you are a UK taxpayer.

Funds are transferred to charities on a monthly basis following verification. GoDoItFor holds funds in a dedicated client account and does not use donated funds for operational purposes.

Charities

Only registered charities with a valid Charity Commission registration number may receive funds through GoDoItFor. We verify all charity registrations before approval.

Charities wishing to be listed as a featured partner should contact us at charities@godoitfor.com. Featured placement does not affect the distribution of donated funds.

GoDoItFor is not responsible for how charities use funds once transferred. Donors are encouraged to research their chosen charity independently.

Community Standards

GoDoItFor is built on the principle that community presence is as valuable as financial donation. By participating as a supporter or backer, you agree to:

  • Engage with challengers respectfully and constructively
  • Not post offensive, harmful, or misleading comments
  • Not harass or intimidate any platform user
  • Report content that violates these standards using our reporting tools

GoDoItFor reserves the right to remove any user, comment, or content that damages the community or violates these standards, without prior notice.

Privacy

GoDoItFor collects personal data necessary to operate the platform including name, email address, and payment information. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Journey pages are public by default. Challengers can choose to make their page private, visible only to people with the direct link.
